The Teaching Complete Beginners Workshop is a 3-hour practical training workshop that supports instructors to develop the cycling skills of those who cannot ride a bike. Through practical learning, candidates will focus on being able to teach basic balance and control skills.
A basic ability in riding a bicycle, awareness of the Bikeability Scotland Level 1 and Level 2 training outcomes and currently hold a BSI, BSIT or CT certificate.
3 hours
You will need access to a bicycle, appropriate clothing for the prevailing weather conditions, and you are encouraged to bring a notepad and pen.
This workshop is free for anyone delivering Bikeability Scotland training as a volunteer and has authorisation from their Local Authority coordinator.
Following completion of this workshop, instructors may wish to complete some of the other Bikeability Scotland CPD modules or other Cycling Scotland Training courses.
