The Cargo Bike Training course is aimed at people able to cycle competently and confidently who would like to ride a cargo bike either for work or for personal use.
The focus of the course is on becoming familiar with methods to enable candidates to become accustomed to the unique ride characteristics of cargo bikes, key manoeuvres and relevant teaching points.
Essential Requirements -
Be able to cycle competently and confidently and have recent, preferably regular, experience of cycling in a variety of modern traffic conditions.
Cycle confidently at the Level 3 National Standard.

Have a reasonable level of fitness.
Desirable Requirements –
Understand basic bicycle maintenance.

On completing this course, candidates will have gained information and experience on using cargo bikes as part of everyday duties.
Further specific workplace orientation/familiarisation may be required on dedicated operating procedures and cycle types.
