Overview

Adult Cycle Training (ACT) is the name given to the training courses developed to support adults to cycle more as part of their everyday life.

ACT covers 4 courses for participants:

  • Absolute beginners
  • Introduction to on-road
  • Advanced on-road
  • Roadside repairs and equipment.

ACT is delivered by Cycle Trainers who have undertaken a one hour ACT instructor orientation.

This orientation provides key information about the course, the resources, additional support, course administration and the Cycling Scotland database.

An additional 30 minute orientation is required to deliver Family  ACT sessions.

What skills do I need?

You should be a qualified and experienced Cycle Trainer.


How long does it take?

1 hour for adult cycle training instructor orientation & an additional 30 minute orientation is required to deliver Family  ACT sessions.


What will I need?

You will need internet access and a username/password for the Cycling Scotland database.
