Based upon Cycling Scotland’s successful road user awareness CPC training course for HGV and LGV drivers, this course is specifically designed to support people who are learning to drive to develop safer driving habits on the roads. The training is designed to be the perfect opportunity to step into the shoes of more vulnerable road users, including those on bikes. It aims to provide participants with a greater understanding of their needs.
During the training learner drivers spend time in the classroom where they are taught about best practices to adopt around vulnerable road users.
Additional practical time on bikes to gain perspective as someone cycling can also be arranged, delivered under the guidance of an expert instructor.
